Smartie, the Cook Islands’ fintech app, has launched Smartie Food, a new mobile-first food delivery and pickup service for locals and tourists across Rarotonga.

Available on iOS and Android, Smartie Food lets users order from local cafés, restaurants, and takeaways, with secure, cashless payments all within the existing Smartie app. Launching with 15 eateries and growing, orders can be delivered by trained local drivers or picked up.

“This is a major milestone,” says Smartie Managing Director Brett Baudinet. “We’re making everyday life simpler through smart technology, designed for Pacific Island living.”

Merchants can also now accept card payments through the app without needing any hardware, with an affordable 3.4% transaction fee, the lowest in the country.

To celebrate, new users get 10% off their first Smartie Food order.
