Pasifika housing initiative aims to tackle inequalities in Porirua

A housing project in the heart of Porirua is aiming to increase the Pacific home ownership rate in Aotearoa.

The central Pacific collective have partnered with local Iwi Ngati Toa to build affordable homes on Iwi land. The first project is called ‘Our Whare our Fale’ and is the first of it’s kind in the country.

Highbrook Living Limited plans to build a housing development at the landmark power station site on Sparky Rd, near Ōtara.
